Privacy policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
Librox does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer or to third parties. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Your books and reading data
Books you import, your reading positions, bookmarks, notes, shelves, ratings, and settings stay on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they sync through your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). That data is visible only to you; the developer has no access to it.
Network requests
When you use the Discover tab, your searches and downloads go directly to the catalog you chose — Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks, Unglue.it, Open Library, or an OPDS catalog you added yourself. No identifiers are attached beyond what a normal web request carries, and nothing is proxied through servers we run — we don't run any. Credentials you save for a catalog are stored in the device Keychain and sent only to that catalog.
This website
librox.app is a static site with no analytics and no cookies. The book search on the home page sends your query directly from your browser to the catalog you are searching (Project Gutenberg's Gutendex API and Standard Ebooks); we never see it. Your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage and goes nowhere.
Text-to-speech
Read-aloud narration runs entirely on your device. Book text never leaves the device for narration.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address.
